Lincoln Park – Seattle Engagement Session

Having not grown up in Seattle there are a lot of little hidden gems that I’m still learning about. Lincoln Park in West Seattle is one of them! It is located adjacent to the Vashon Island ferry, and is an amazing park that wraps around the coastline of the Puget Sound as well as some amazing trails and wooded areas in the upper park area.

I had first shot here about two years ago when one of my wedding clients suggested it for their photos prior to the ceremony at a nearby venue. I was blown away by how much cool variety there was for photos all within a short walk from the parking lot. So when Don and Rebecca mentioned they wanted some beach photos, I knew this was the spot!

We met up about an hour before sunset on a nice sunny day, and started up above the beach to wait for that good light for sunset =)

We definitely caught an awesome sunset that evening, although there was about a 10-15 minute window of crazy intense low angle sun which made it pretty challenging to shoot through. So we decided to push pause on the session and just hang out BSing on the beach people watching and talking.

Lincoln Park definitely didn’t disappoint this night =) It was kind of a bummer that we had to post pone their wedding until this summer due to COVID, but I’m still super stoked, and can’t wait until August!
