Sometimes everything just lines up and you get blessed with stunning weather, even in the middle of October in Seattle. I met up with Nanmari and Stefanel at Discovery Park in Seattle on a beautiful Saturday a little while back to capture some stunning maternity photos for them as they were preparing to welcome their baby girl to this world.

Discovery Park is always a favorite place to shoot, because it’s absolutely massive, and offers a ton of variety without having to travel to multiple locations across the city to enjoy. We started in the forested areas near the South parking lot before heading towards the meadows above the bluffs overlooking the sound, and finally wrapped up on the beach at sunset. Oh and what a sunset it was!

The beach at Discovery Park is awesome, it’s full of cool driftwood, rocks, pathways, and a lighthouse! It’s a little tricky though because the parking down there is super limited and you need to get a parking pass from the visitor’s center to grab one of the few spots available down there. Another option is to plan an Uber or Lyft ride down, which is super convenient because you don’t have to roll the dice on getting lucky scoring one of those coveted parking passes =) of course you COULD walk down, but man that hike is rough comin back up lol.
